Summer Sunrise Sessions- As mentioned yesterday I will be offering a promotion for these all summer. A lot of people might be scared off by the idea of a photoshoot so early in the morning. However, younger kids ( especially toddlers) seem to do better with the morning sessions. The weather is nice and it’s the only way to avoid the summer crowds. Lighting can be a little different, the ocean is bluer and the sky is little brighter but I think it gives a more summer beach look. With sunset as late as 8pm during the summer, this is a great alternative to sunset sessions.

With summer around the corner, I will be offering a promotion for full sessions at sunrise. Mini Sessions don’t really work in the summer since everyone is on vacation so this is the next best thing and it helps avoid crowds at the beach!

I waited all week for the sun to come out and do these- but no sun! Worst weather for Spring Break! Usually I love this weather for photos but I really wanted this unlimited time to play with the lighting. I still adore these especially because she was so into it. Super bummed that they bulldozed through the whole area.. we had to walk a bit to find this section.

This Sunday’s location … and it’s supposed to be nice and sunny! I took these a few years ago, but they have always been one of my favorites. When I was putting these together to share, I kept thinking why is this session so different from the others? I shoot at this exact beach often, the ocean never looks like this. Is it the yellow that’s making it pop? Is it the time of year and where the sun sets? I finally figured it out!! For some reason I brought my 70-200mm f/2.8 this day and that’s what really makes the ocean pop in the background. Kinda like the infamous photo that everyone claimed was fake of the snow capped mountains that someone took on a boat in Newport.

DMI Weekend! Madison danced her little heart out all weekend! I was little heartbroken leaving her for some of it … she even stayed the night without me (which never happens) but she loved it!

April 6th ( not this Sunday but next) I have mini sessions here. My goal was to add a beach mini since there’s a lot of people traveling this way for Spring Break.
This session was one of my favorites because of the girl’s dresses.. the sunset.. the birds…and how happy the girls look. I think the pastel spring dresses would look so cute here.
